Just as in ancient times, the COLOMBA CAKE by Leonardo di Carlo, a typical Italian cake baked to celebrate Easter, is offered as a sign of peace. Our special Colomba cake is a limited-time offering, baked fresh in the three weeks before Easter. We gently allow the soft dough to rise slowly and naturally, without forcing the rise. Then, we enrich it with diced candied Italian orange peel, releasing a touch of delicate citrus fragrance that delights the palate. Adding to the symphony of aromas is the unmistakable presence of Madascar Bourbon vanilla. For an irresistible finish, our Colomba cake is crowned with a tempting amaretto glaze made from selected Italian almonds, and dusted with pearl sugar. WEIGHT: 850 gr.
